Shallotte police officers are investigating an armed robbery, safecracking and kidnapping at Coastal Cinemas Sunday night. According to an incident report, at about 10:30 p.m., two suspects came in through the business's side door. They were armed with handguns and hit the victim in the head twice with a gun. They went into the victim’s office, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. Officers are investigating suspects, and arrests are expected.
