As a thank-you to our readers, this week’s Beacon features a free 2013 calendar.
The calendar features photographs from this year’s Brunswick Life photo contest, plus lots of great advertisements from area businesses.
“The calendar has been one of our most rewarding special projects,” Beacon managing editor Stacey Manning said. “We love getting quality photos from children and adults each year. It’s hard to pick the winners and select the few that will make it into the calendar.”
The big reward, she said, is gifting the calendar to Beacon readers each Christmas.
“We hope this is a piece you will display in your homes and businesses all year long,” Manning said.
Adult winners
First place in the adult category was won by Carmen A. Daughtry, Calabash, for her photograph “Dogs love the Beach!”
Terrah Hewett of Supply captured second place for “The Snowy Two Step.”
Third place went to Michelle Tinger, Sunset Beach, for “Misty Morning in Calabash.”
The winning entries and a few additional photos not featured in the calendar are on page 1C in our Tides section.
