Selecting players to an all-conference team forces coaches to make tough choices. But the task becomes more difficult when they are limited to the number of players that can be selected.
Most conferences predetermine that number by where the team finished in the conference. The first-place team will get, say, four selections, and the last-place team will get one.
That sounds fair, but is it?
