To the editor: He (President Barack Obama) signed an order to close the terrorist detention center at Gitmo. No plan for the terrorists there, except Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) has offered the minimum-security prisons in his central Pennsylvania district for them.
“They are no more dangerous than regular criminals,” he said.
In the meantime, two of those released in the past are on new terrorist videos this week, and one is the head of terrorists in Yemen where he commanded the attack on the U.S. Embassy.
Obama signed an order to immediately release all documents from former presidents so John Coyners (D-Mich.) can review them for possible crimes in the Bush administration.
Obama and his Democrat allies are pressing the additional $850 billion economy recovery package and asking for Republican bipartisan support; however, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi drafted the measure and is shutting out all Republican input.
Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was photographed at the inauguration thumbing his nose at the former White House staff.
The president himself is telling Republicans not to listen to alternative ideas to his bailout plan or Rush Limbaugh; in other words, support me and we will get along. Huh?
The $850 billion recovery package is an obscene collection of pork-barrel spending over many years and does things like promote abortion worldwide, redo the lawn on the National Mall and too much more to list.
Bank of America and Citigroup have been taken over by the government. The stock is now virtually worthless, and dividends have been cut to a penny per year for three years. Remember these banks were “ordered” by Rep. Barney Frank, house banking chairman, to make the fair housing loans.
Coming up is another bailout of General Motors. Remember, we the taxpayers funded a $50 billion bailout in November, as they were about to run out of cash. This was in lieu of forcing GM into a reorganization bankruptcy. Well, GM announced they were going to be out of cash again in March. Here we go again.
Remember the CEOs of the auto companies were demonized for flying three corporate jets to Washington, but nothing was said of the 600 private jets used to fly Obama supporters to the inauguration.
And finally, President Obama has picked a tax cheat to head the Treasury Department and the IRS.
Are you happy? Not me.
