Arrests, thefts in Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach police made the following arrests and investigations.

•Hakeem Javon Reaves, 20, of 9803 Ash-Little River Road, Ash, was charged May 6 with resisting a public officer.

•Phyllis Pigford Smith, 52, of 1733 Atkinson St., Ocean Isle Beach, was charged May 5 with DWI.

•Karen Valade Gerlits, 29, of 4269 Mica Drive, Little River, S.C., was charged May 5 with DWI and failure to comply with driver’s license restriction.
