SHALLOTTE—A Main Street art store has been robbed, marking the second time artwork has been stolen from a Brunswick County gallery in as many weeks.
The owner of Calabash Art Gallery, formerly River Bend, at 4806 Main St., reported to Shallotte Police on Feb. 29 that suspects removed a $300 original watercolor, two original art pieces by the same artist worth a total of $200, $150 worth of foam core, three tubes of spacers worth $150 and a $25 box of framing supplies.
