ATMC adds more channels

ATMC Cable has added another high definition (HD) network, bringing its total number of HD channels to 31. The company has also added a new network to the digital channel lineup.

Smithsonian Channel HD was formed to showcase scientific, cultural and historical programming. Smithsonian Channel HD is on channel 961 and features original documentaries, short-subject explorations and innovative and groundbreaking programs that call on these intriguing tales of America’s past, present and future. Smithsonian HD is part of the HD Suite offered for $6.95 monthly. To receive this channel, a customer must also have an HD receiver or DVR with an HD television.

Oxygen, a network targeting women ages 18-49, features more innovative shows, original series and blockbuster movies than any other women’s network. It is on digital channel 239 and is part of all digital tier packages.
