-A A +A

ATMC’s 53rd annual membership meeting will be Friday, Oct. 8, in the Odell Williamson Auditorium on the campus of Brunswick Community College in Supply.

Member registration will begin at 4 p.m. A barbecue pork and fried chicken dinner will be served outside from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

The entertainment portion of the annual meeting will take place inside the auditorium beginning at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a special performance by the Andrew Thielen Big Band, playing everything from swing to rock to disco tunes and Motown classics. The band has been the “band of choice” for Planet Hollywood, the House of Blues, the Heritage Golf Classic, the Kentucky Derby Gala, a PBS TV show and more.

Returning this year will be the interactive model railroad exhibit provided by the Intracoastal Model Railroad Club. The club’s purpose is to educate the public about the hobby, railroading and railroad safety in general and, specifically, to promote, collect, operate and maintain toy/scale model trains and model railroads.

The business meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include the president’s report and operations and financial reports. Two directors will be elected for three-year terms. Cash prizes totaling $3,000 will be given away, including a $500 cash prize at the conclusion of the meeting.
