CALABASH—Students in Rusty Hughes’ art class have found a new niche for their creative itch.
It’s the Calabash Elks Lodge, where the Brunswick Community College continuing education class recently moved from its former location at Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach.
After being notified the church could no longer provide space, students were granted a new, weekly painting place by Calabash Elks Lodge No. 2679, which is providing a meeting room free of charge.
