Frank Williams, a Brunswick County native and president of Pioneer Strategies Inc., has been named to the Brunswick Community College (BCC) Small Business Center Advisory Committee.
BCC’s Small Business Center provides seminars, workshops, a resource center and local, confidential counseling for new and existing businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” Williams said. “Brunswick Community College’s Small Business Center plays an important role in helping foster an environment in which small businesses and entrepreneurs can grow and prosper in Brunswick County. I am pleased to assist with their efforts by serving in this capacity.”
Williams, a 1988 graduate of North Brunswick High School, earned his B.A. in communication from N.C. State University in 1993. He serves on the boards of directors of the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, the Leland Area Rotary Club and Communities in Schools of Brunswick County.
He has been a featured speaker for a variety of organizations, including the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, Leland Business Association, Brunswick Community College Small Business Center, John William Pope Civitas Institute Academy of Practical Politics, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, Greater Raleigh Merchants Association and the N.C. State University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
In 2006, he received both the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award and the N.C. State University Department of Communication’s Outstanding Alumni Award.
