When Robbie Allen held tryouts last month for his Brunswick Community College baseball team, he was hoping to find some help at certain positions, but he was uncertain which positions would be filled.
“I didn’t know what to expect,” he said.
The tryouts turned out better than expected. Of the 35 who tried out at West Brunswick High School, Allen decided to invite 10—two catchers, two outfielders, two infielders and four pitchers—to play for the fall team.
“I was surprised we got 10 altogether,” he said.
