Belville riverwalk project hits first red tape

-A A +A
By Brian Slattery

Belville’s rapid pace toward building a Riverwalk project next to the Brunswick River Park on N.C. 133 was sidetracked for at least two weeks by county concerns they want addressed in writing.

Town officials attended the Brunswick County board meeting Nov. 18 with hopes that a request for the county to turn the Brunswick River Park over to the town would be approved.

But the county, after discussing the project in closed session, determined they need more than just board approval to hand the park back to Belville.
