Beware of Obama plan

To the editor:
President Barack Obama has said many times during the last 15 years he believes in spreading the wealth, or redistribution, as shown in his 1998 video and with Joe the Plumber.
Redistribution is simply taking from the wealthy and giving to others. This is done through taxes and confiscation of property and is one of the cornerstones of the Communist theory and practice.
Redistribution happens only once in a society. Once the wealthy are plundered, there is no more. Every time a prosperous society has undergone redistribution, it has resulted in death, misery and poverty. The only ones to come out on top are the leaders who implement redistribution.
In the 1930s, Russia seized all industry and farms. A productive society went into steep decline, resulting in 6 million people starving for lack of food. In the 1980s, Mugabe took over Rhodesia. War broke out and thousands died. Land was seized and redistributed and Zimbabwe went into an economic death spiral. Prices doubled every 30 hours. In 1998, one U.S. dollar would buy 24 Zimbabwe dollars; today, it will buy 120 million Zimbabwe dollars.
Redistribution was accomplished in Cuba, North Korea and China, resulting in millions dying. France is now considering a 75 percent tax on wealthy income. People are leaving rather than paying the tax.
President Obama’s policy of redistribution, when implemented, will be a complete disaster for America. It is time to wake up and vote out President Obama and all of his supporters.
