Finance director said final budge should be available ‘very shortly’

By Caroline Curran, Reporter

BOLIVIA—Until the state and the county finalize their respective operating budgets for the upcoming fiscal year, the board of education is unable to adopt a formal budget resolution.

Brunswick County Schools Finance Director Freyja Cahill said the board couldn’t adopt its formal fiscal year 2011-2012 operating budget until its funding sources—the state and the county—approve the upcoming fiscal year’s budgets.

The 2011 fiscal year budget takes effect July 1.
