SUNSET BEACH—Local police investigated a house break-in and possible party reported Dec. 13 on the Sunset Beach Island.

The incident was reported at 426 39th Street.

“Apparently, teens used the house to have a large party,” Sunset Beach Deputy Police Chief Steve Smith said.

The incident is still under investigation.

“Right now, we’re sorting out who was there,” Smith said, adding there may be possible breaking and entering and property damage charges.

Police also investigated a break-in of a vehicle reported Dec. 9 at 211 Old Oak Lane in Sunset Beach.

Several gas and credit cards were stolen.

Smith said an investigation has determined one of the cards was used at a Kangaroo store in Surfside Beach, S.C.

He said his department has secured videotape of a white male and female, from which officers hope to obtain photographs and identifications of the people involved.

“We’re reviewing it,” Smith said.
