Brick Landing has Green Ball Tournament

Brick Landing was host of its first-ever Green Ball Tournament on St. Patrick’s Day. A happy crowd of nearly 50 players competed on the newly renovated course. A traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner followed in the clubhouse.
The tournament was played as two events. A Green Ball Tournament gave each foursome a green golf ball that had to be played in rotation by a different peson on every hole as the foursome went from hole to hole. If the ball were lost, the group was eliminated from the Green Ball competition. Winners were determined by the lowest net score with the green ball over 18 holes of competition. A two best ball net tournament was played simultaneously. Winners were as follows.
Green Ball Tournament: 1. B.G. and Billy Daniel, Lisa and Randy Weller; 2. Bob Moore, Doug O’Connell, Nadine Bray and Bill Wells. Best net: 1. Chuck and Mary Dixon, Dick and Bonnie Giehl; 2. Alan Morrissey, Bob Gorman, Bill Shanley, Ray Collins; 3. Mike and Sharon Deutsch, Bill and Carol Fredericks.
“Everyone had a great time,” said Joey Godley, director of golf at Brick Landing. “This will definitely be an annual event. We are looking forward to more holiday events during the year.”
