What we asked for: To view inmate logs and for a copy of a list of the inmates currently in custody at the Brunswick County Detention Center.
What the law says: According to Chapter 148 of the N.C. General Statutes, “Prison records dealing with matters like the length of a prisoner’s sentence, the beginning and ending date of the sentence and any transfers are public record.” (N.C.
