Brunswick County ranks third for DWI arrests statewide during campaign

State and local law enforcement officers cited 729 motorists for driving while impaired during the Booze It & Lose It Halloween campaign, which ran Oct. 26-31. A total of 24,363 traffic and criminal citations were issued statewide.

In Brunswick County, 364 traffic and criminal violations and 35 DWI charges were issued during the six-day campaign including two younger than 21 DWI charges. Brunswick County issued the third highest number of DWIs in the state.
