Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office drug enforcement roundup

Agents with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office charged the following suspects last week, which are taken from a sheriff’s office press release:

•James Michael Haag, 25, of 472 Retha Drive, Shallotte; charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, three counts of felony possession of marijuana, two counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, three counts of sell/deliver marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

After a two-week investigation on the Haag’s Retha Drive residence and Dynamic Details Carwash on Main Street in Shallotte, Haag, an employee at the carwash, was found to be keeping and selling marijuana from his home and the car wash.

Drug agents searched the Retha Drive address and seized nearly 300 grams of marijuana.

Haag was arrested on May 21, and taken to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, where he was placed on a $100,000 secured bond.

•Corey Rex Hill, 32, of 1966 Trace St., Supply, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hill was arrested on May 21 and released from the detention center on an unsecured bond.

•Lilly Betty Small, 60, of 1765 Little Shallotte River Drive, Shallotte, was charge with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Berry Eugene Potter, 61, of 2187 Davis St., Winnabow, was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Drug agents have pending charges on Potter of manufacturing marijuana.
