Brunswick County Sheriff's Office crime report

Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies investigated the following incidents last week, which are taken directly from sheriff’s office incident reports:

•Fraud on River Road in Calabash; suspect gave counterfeit money to a restaurant.

•Property damage on Dogwood Road in Leland; suspect damaged the underpinning of victim’s home.

•Larceny on Martingale Court NE in Leland; suspect stole pump from victim’s yard.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on Lawndale Drive in Shallotte; suspect entered victim’s window and stole five candles, a filet knife, three gas cans, two pillows, 10 soda cans, food, five DVDs and a piggy bank with change.

•Fraud on Nance Street in Calabash; suspect gave counterfeit money to a restaurant.

•Larceny on Ocean Sound Circle in Supply; suspect stole an angel fountain, a concrete squirrel holding an acorn, a concrete monkey with a golf cart, a concrete man with a smoking pipe, a concrete girl holding a skirt with a cat in it, two frog fountains, a wooden “welcome” sign, a concrete St. Christopher statue, an aluminum bell with train around it, two chocolate-colored bunny statues and 12 small bear statues.

•Breaking and entering on Lawndale Drive in Shallotte; suspect broke latch on victim’s shed and entered work shed.

•Breaking and entering to an auto on Lawndale Drive in Shallotte; suspect entered victim’s vehicle.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on Rounding Run Road in Shallotte; suspect entered victim’s home and stole Oxycotin, Oxycodone, a watch, a digital camera and a diamond ring.

•Obtaining property by false pretences on Beach Drive in Calabash; suspect paid for gas and water with counterfeit money.

•Larceny on Old Georgetown Road; suspects stole an air conditioning unit from a church.

•Breaking and entering and property damage on Reaves Ferry Road in Ash; suspect pried open rear door and stole a shotgun, a DVD/VCR player, a Wii system and controllers and games.

•Breaking and entering, larceny and property damage on Northeast Drive in Calabash; suspect entered residence, damaged door and stole a 42-inch plasma screen TV.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on Blue Banks Loop Road in Leland; suspect broke into victim’s residence and stole a 60-inch TV, an Xbox 360 Live and a 13-inch monitor.

•Property damage and larceny on Green Swamp Road in Ash; suspect stole victim’s air conditioning unit and damaged a window fan.

•Communicating threats on Oyster Lane in Supply; suspect left a threatening letter for victim.

•Larceny on Tarheel Trail in Leland; suspect stole 10 boxes of vinyl siding and various amounts of lumber.

•Larceny at Brunswick Community Hospital parking lot; suspect stole tire and rim off victim’s car.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on North Fork Way in Leland; suspect pried open victim’s front door and stole a 32-inch TV, two vacuum cleaners and a DVD player.

•Property damage and attempted breaking and entering on Spring View Circle; suspect broke victim’s glass back door.

•Larceny on Long Beach Road in Southport; suspect took money from cash deposit bag.

•Fraud on River Road in Calabash; suspect gave counterfeit money to a restaurant.

Items recovered by sheriff’s deputies include a 1989 Chevrolet Blazer, marijuana, a metal container with marijuana, less than ounce of marijuana, two marijuana cigarettes and flavored blunt wrappers.
