The K-9 enforcement team answers calls, conducts driver’s license checkpoints and assists with other agencies when K-9s are needed.
From Feb. 9-15, deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Enforcement Team answered 36 calls, issued 10 uniformed citations and made eight drug arrests.
K-9 deputies set up driver’s license checkpoints in the following areas: Mount Misery Road, Sandy Creek, Longwood and Lincoln Road.
In addition to eight drug arrests, K-9 deputies issued the following charges: driving while license revoked, no operator’s license, open container and underage consumption of alcohol.
