Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation announces 2008 grant winners

Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation (BEMC) has announced the winners of its 2008 BEMC Community Grants, including nine Brunswick County organizations.

Now in its sixth year, the program has awarded more than $147,000 to help local agencies and groups with worthwhile programs providing vital educational, social, cultural and economic development services to citizens in the BEMC service area, according to Judy Gore, vice president of customer services.
