RALEIGH—A Brunswick County man and former Calabash firefighter has recently been sentenced to more than 19 years in federal prison for transmitting child pornography over the Internet.
U.S. District Judge W. Earl Britt sentenced Collier Douglas Sessoms, 32, of 1074 Captain Court, Calabash, to 235 months in prison and a $5,000 fine for transporting child pornography and obscene materials over the Internet.
Sessoms pleaded guilty to federal charges in December 2006, according to a U.S. Attorney’s office press release.
