Brunswick County is set to receive $70,680 in federal Emergency Food and Shelter funds as part of a $670,820 allocation for southeastern North Carolina.
The local Emergency Food and Shelter board will be charged with dividing the money among local agencies such as Brunswick Family Assistance, Providence Home and the South Brunswick Interchurch Council.
Public or private voluntary organizations interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds must contact Percy Woodard, local board chairman, at
754-8484 for an application.
