New LGFCU appointments made

Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) has announced the addition of two members to its Southern Coast Advisory Council, which comprises Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover and Pender counties.

The new appointments are: City Clerk Regina White Alexander of Southport; and Warren Lee, director of New Hanover County Department of Emergency Management.

These latest additions bring the total number of members to 236.

The new appointments are an integral part of LGFCU’s volunteer-driven initiative, not only to educate people on the benefits of credit union membership, but also to relay feedback to management regarding available/potentially available products and services, delivery of service and member needs, according to Erica Hinton, LGFCU communications specialist.

Advisory council members, who represent the philosophical character of the credit union and contribute their time without compensation, function as LGFCU’s eyes and ears throughout the state, serving as liaisons between Credit Union members and non-members and LGFCU management.
