Terhune buys design firm

Doug Terhune of Carolina Plantations Real Estate has purchased the custom home design firm of Plan View Design of N.C. LLC.

Plan View Design has been designing custom homes at local communities such as Ocean Ridge, Rivers Edge, Sea Trail and Brunswick Forest for years.

The home are viewable in 3D, which gives clients the ability to tour inside and outside of the home prior to construction.

Haley Wilson, vice president of Plan View Design, designs custom homes from scratch, works from existing plans and can design any home remodeling requests.

Plan View Design is located at 6690 Ocean Hwy. W. in Ocean Isle Beach and can be reached at 754-2400.

Frandano earns designation

Pete Frandano of Southport Realty in Southport has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute, one of the leading commercial real estate associations in the world during the Institute meetings in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 16.

Frandano was among the group of commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the Institute’s comprehensive examination, the final element in the designation process.

He currently serves on the board of directors for the Brunswick County Association of Realtors and is the 2009 vice president-elect for the association.

Prior to transitioning into the real estate business in 2003, Frandano was in the Fortune 500 arena for 13 years and obtained his MBA from Wake Forest University and his undergraduate degree in business from UNC-Chapel Hill.
