CALABASH—Town commissioners mulled at length a developer’s proposal to build 216 apartments on a 22.5-acre tract at the intersection of Old Georgetown and Clariday roads.
Shallotte Partners is seeking a conditional use permit to locate the buildings in the residential R-8 zone. The proposed residential site is surrounded on the roadsides by highway commercial zoning, which Jim Myers said he planned to develop as well as part of the proposed Calabash Town Center.
