Canal dredging should be done fairly

To the editor: After years of meetings and more meetings “to get ready to get ready” to do something about the canal dredging program, it was great to see the town adopt the dredging program three years ago.

It was encouraging to see dredging this year on the natural canals and the start on the concrete canals. It has generally been understood that the start on the concrete canals would be to dredge the two entrances to the Intracoastal Waterway and the connector canals (known as 18, 19 and 20).
