To the editor:
Every election, I take the time to examine the candidates individually instead of just voting straight ticket.
In this year’s Congressional election, I’ve been listening carefully to what our two candidates have to say on the issues. I want to give both candidates a fair shake, but honestly, it’s been tough to swallow the recent statements that [Republican candidate] David Rouzer has been feeding us. He recently proposed closing the Department of Energy because he personally witnessed officials “sitting there reading books.”
