A few members of the Cedar Grove Middle School Junior National Honor Society decided to have a book drive to help out The Brunswick County Literacy Council. The society requires all members perform eight hours of community service each semester.
The book drive lasted the entire month of May and the deadline was May 30. A grand total of 1,338 books were collected. Sixth-grade students donated 293 books, seventh-grade students donated 713 books and eighth-grade students donated 332 books.
