Chamber plans new seminar series

-A A +A

The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce has announced its new series of seminars…the Business Blue Plate.

The first session will be “Will Your Business Safety Program Pass a NC-OSHA Safety Compliance Inspection?”

Come join in at Carolina National Golf Club, 1643 Goley Hewett Road in Winding River Plantation on N.C. 211 at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, as Atlantic Coast Safety Consultant’s senior consultant, Zane Cofield, presents insider information on what is required of your business for it to meet North Carolina Department of Labor Safety Compliance Inspection. Zane will cover questions such as: Do I need a safety program? What employee training and paperwork are required by law? What’s involved when the DOL knocks on my door to inspect? What are my rights as a business owner? What are my employees’ rights?

Every business in the State of North Carolina with two or more employees is required by law to have certain employee safety programs and training in place. Don’t wait until you’re caught off guard by a compliance officer.

Limited seating; RSVP on or before Friday, Feb. 18. Tickets are $10 per person, and include lunch. Pre-payment is required.
