Caroline Catherine Chamblee of Greensboro and Christopher Alan Lewis of Shallotte were married Oct. 8 at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. The Rev. Neil Dunnavant officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joyce W. Chamblee of Greensboro and the late David W. Chamblee, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Wood and Rose Chamblee of Greensboro and the late H.M. Chamblee.
She was given in marriage by Daniel Chamblee of Charlotte, brother of the bride.
The groom is the son of Alan and Tammie Lewis of Shallotte, and grandson of Louise Bennett and the late Mansel Bennett, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lewis and the late Bobbie D. Lewis, all of Shallotte.
Maid of honor was Emilie Campbell of Indiana, Pa., a childhood friend.
Bridesmaids were Sara Kelleher of Boston, Mass., childhood friend; Allyson Daly of Greensboro, childhood friend; Ashton Chamblee of Charlotte, sister-in-law of the bride; and Jessica Lewis of Shallotte, sister of the groom.
Flower girls were Mary Grace Chandler of Shallotte, friend of the couple, and Katelyn Lewis of Shallotte, cousin of the groom.
Ringbearer was Cameron Lewis of Shallotte, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Alan Lewis, father of the groom, and Steven Squires of Raleigh, college roommate.
Groomsmen were Joseph Davis of Raleigh, college roommate; Adam Newson of Raleigh, college friend; and Andrew Baumesiter of Raleigh, college friend.
A reception followed the ceremony at The Greensboro Country Club in Greensboro.
The bride graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. She owns her own design firm, Chamblee Graphic Design, and is currently pursuing a master’s of business administration degree at North Carolina State University.
The groom graduated with a B.S. degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. He is employed as a civil engineer at Kleinfelder in Raleigh.
Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
