Wedding

Ashton Leigh Chappell and Aaron Josef Stahl of Southern Pines were married May 17 at the Southport Community Building in Southport.
Rev. William Chappell, the bride’s grandfather, officiated the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Matt and Candice Chappell of Ash and granddaughter of Richard and Christine Hewett of Shallotte and William and Linda Chappell of Ash.
The groom is the son of Patricia and Michael Stahl Sr. of Port Charlotte, Fla.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her dad.
She wore a strapless, beaded lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline and dropped waist and skirt of satin with vertical ruffles of tulle and organza cascading in a long train of ruffles. She wore a waist-length veil of sheer tulle and accented with tiny crystals throughout.
She carried a bouquet of white lilies, roses and daisies adorned with baby’s breath.
Alyssa Chappell of Ash, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Courtney Chappell of Ash, sister of the bride; Amanda Jarvis of Sarasota, Fla., friend of the bride; Kyla King of Chapel Hill, friend of the bride; and Whitney Smith of Ash, friend of the bride.
They wore a satin knee-length dress with a strapless neckline in Malibu with pleating all along the bodice and through the waist and carried a bouquet of long-stemmed white lilies.
Mark Wojoski of Manhattan, N.Y., friend of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Michael Stahl Sr., father of the groom; Michael Stahl Jr. of Wellington, Fla., brother of the groom; Alex Stahl of Jacksonville, Fla., brother of the groom; and Brock Tommas of Venice, Fla., friend of the groom.
A reception followed at the Southport Community Building.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of WBHS in Shallotte and a 2011 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as manager of Chili’s Restaurant in Southern Pines.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Venice High School and a 2009 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in sports science. He is employed as manager of Chili’s Restaurant in Fayetteville.
Following a honeymoon in Charleston, S.C., the couple lives in Southern Pines.
