Charity Gala May 3 at Sea Trail

The Holden Beach chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs will have its sixth annual Blooming for a Cause Charity Gala from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Sea Trail Convention Center in Sunset Beach.

Festivities include a silent auction, fashion show and luncheon to benefit Hope Harbor Home and Providence Home for a $45 donation.

A large array of auction items will be featured, including a one-week stay at a beach house in Ocean Isle Beach valued at $3,500 and a week’s stay in Costa Rica.

Other featured items include a four-day, three-night stay in downtown Wilmington, a South African safari for two, a two-night stay for two at the Sunset Inn in Sunset Beach, a week’s stay in Holden Beach, two nights at The Suites of Market Common in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and two nights at Sea Trail.

Other prizes are a four-course delivered dinner for 15, a five-course crab cake dinner for eight, sushi class for eight, a simple will or estate-planning package, and a host of local art, jewelry, kitchen and decorative items for the home, dance or Zumba classes, a gym membership, gift certificates from local businesses, a gift basket, wooden bench and tickets to the Alabama Theatre, The Palace Theatre, Ocean Isle Museum, Big M Casino, The Carolina Opry and The Battleship North Carolina.
