Pastor Skip Williams’ sermon will be “On Heart and Hand,” based on scripture from Psalm 119 and Matthew 5:17-20, on Sunday, Aug. 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, at 209 East Nash St. in Southport.

There will be a casual worship service at 8:30 a.m., a contemporary service at 9:40 a.m. in Murrow Hall with the Trinity Worship Band and a traditional worship service in the sanctuary at 11 a.m.

Nursery care will be available during the 8:30 a.m., 9:40 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.

Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. for all ages and children’s church will take place during the 11 a.m. service.

Beach Assembly plans yard sale

The Women’s Ministries Group at Beach Assembly of God will have an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 9.

Proceeds will benefit the Women Touching the World project. This year’s project is Jewel 4 God, which helps abused and exploited women and children.

Youth revival set

Crystal Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 4754 Blue Banks Loop Road in Leland, will host its annual Youth Revival Aug. 6, 7 and 8.

Speakers will be:

Wednesday, Aug. 6: Rev. Dr. Joseph Ballard and Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Kelly.

Thursday, Aug. 7: Rev. Michael Jackson and Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Navassa.

Friday, Aug. 8: Rev. Dr. John Troy and Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Chadbourn.

Devotional services start at 7 p.m. each night.

Musical Jubilee planned

St. James AME Zion Church, 407 E. West St. in Southport, will have a Musical Jubilee celebration at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10.

Musical groups will include: Redeem of Wilmington; Remedy from Summerville AME Zion Church in Leland; Brown Chapel Men’s Choir from Brown Chapel AME Zion Church in Southport; Whitehead Sisters and Bryant from First Baptist Church of Southport; Bessent Family of Southport; and the Merrant Family.

Revival planned

Victory Independent Baptist Church will host a revival Sunday through Wednesday evening, Aug. 10-13.

Guest pastor will be Dr. Tommy Cook.

All are welcome.

Minister to go live on Internet

The Rev. Clay NeSmith, the lead pastor at Barefoot Church, 701 Main St. in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., will be on Web cam 24-hours a day for four weeks, every day, all day, beginning at 8 p.m. Aug. 3.

Barefoot Community Church is a non-denominational church that meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 9 and 11 a.m. and Sunday night at 6 p.m.

Brunswick County residents are members of the church. During the week, community groups meet to develop deeper relationships with each other.

Vacation Bible School set

Bible Baptist Church, 2428 Seashore Road in Supply, will host Super Hero Saints Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.
