Church plans yard sale

Calabash Presbyterian Church on Old Georgetown Road in Sunset Beach will have its annual yard sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. June 10-11. 

Sale items will include crafts, household goods, lawn equipment, sports equipment, etc. Baked goods will also be available for purchase.

Program planned at Seaside UMC

The First United Methodist Church youth choir of Newnan, Ga., will present a program of anthems and readings, “The Light and Life of Christ,” at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Seaside United Methodist Church, 1300 Seaside Road SW in Sunset Beach. This program is free.

The 60-member choir is comprised of seventh- through 12th-grade students who tour in the early summer each year. They have toured throughout the East, Midwest, the New England area, Texas, Florida, Colorado, California, the Great Northwest, Canada and Mexico.

Sharon UMC plans dinner day

Sharon United Methodist Church, 2030 Holden Beach Road in Supply, will host its annual fried chicken dinner day on Friday, June 3. 

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and dinner will be served from 4-7 p.m. Eat in or take out. Adult meals are $7.50 and children 10 and younger are $5 each. Dessert will be available.

Church plans VBS

Soldier Bay Baptist Church on N.C. 130 in Ash will host vacation Bible school June 13-17 from 6-9 p.m. nightly. Everyone is welcome to the “Adventure to the Big Apple,” even the adults.

Trinity UMC sets June 5 services

On Sunday, June 5, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E. Nash St. in Southport, the Rev. Jeff Roberts’ sermon will be “What Are We Waiting For?” based on scripture from Acts: 1:6-14.

Three worship services will be available. The 8 a.m. casual service and the 11 a.m. traditional service will be in the sanctuary. 

Worship, the Trinity praise team, will lead the contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. in Murrow Hall. High school and college graduates will be recognized during all services. Communion will be celebrated.

Childcare and children’s church will be available during all worship services. Sunday school for all ages is at 9:30 and 11 a.m.
