Holden Beach Seniors to meet Feb. 13
Holden Beach Senior Citizens will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at Lockwood Folly Community Building on Stanley Road. Come and enjoy a covered dish meal. Various members will present a talent show. Officers will be elected and trips will be planned. Remember to bring nonperishable foods for a local food bank.

Historical Society to meet Feb. 13
The next meeting of the Brunswick County Historical Society will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at BEMC in Supply.
James Herbert Robinson, who has been involved with the ham radio network in Brunswick County for many years, will be the guest speaker.
The Brunswick County Historical Society meets the second Monday in February, May, August and November.

Women of the Moose to have card party Feb. 14
The Shallotte Women of the Moose will sponsor a card party to benefit Community Services of Brunswick County from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 14, at Ryan’s Steak House on U.S. 17 in N. Myrtle Beach, S.C. Cost is $15 per person.

Poetry group to meet Sunday, Feb. 12
Poetry Revisited, a monthly group for those who write, read and listen to poetry, will meet from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the activity room at Arbor Landing on N.C. 179 (between Ocean Isle Beach and Shallotte) in Ocean Isle Beach.
The group meets the second Sunday afternoon of each month. Typically, each session will have several scheduled readers plus an opportunity for others to read their work as time permits.
This group is open to anyone who appreciates writing or listening to original poetry.
