Classic Country Band to play at VFW April 6
VFW Post 10804 on S.C. 57 North in Little River, S.C., will have a dinner/dance featuring Classic Country Band beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6. Cost is $10 per person. For reservations, call (843) 399-0877.
On Saturday, April 7, enjoy Cheryl Z and karaoke at 5 p.m. Every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. is wings night; Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. is Fiesta nights. All events are open to the public.

Newcomers Club to meet April 12
The Southwest Brunswick Newcomers Club (SWBNC) will meet from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 12, in the fellowship hall of Shallotte Presbyterian Church, 5070 MH Rourk Drive in Shallotte. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for new members to join and to sign up for scheduled recurring activities and special planned events.
The featured guest speaker will be Brunswick County Sheriff John Ingram, who will discuss general policies, training and volunteer opportunities with the Citizen’s Academy. Brunswick singles and couples are welcome to attend.

Holden Beach seniors to meet April 9
Holden Beach Senior Citizens will meet at 6 p.m. April 9 at Lockwood Folly Community Building on Stanley Road. Come and enjoy a covered dish meal. Professional clowns will perform. Final plans will be made for the trip to Carolina Opry. Remember to bring non-perishable foods for a local food bank.
