Coastline Insurance adds new office and staff

Southport-based Coastline Insurance recently opened a second office on Oak Island at 8821 E. Oak Island Drive. The new branch is the only insurance agency operating on Oak Island.
Owner Jonathan Peele said his goal is two-fold: to minimize travel for islanders while better managing the area’s increasing insurance demands. To accommodate those needs, Peele has hired two additional agents boasting a combined 16 years of experience in the industry.
Velda Williams relocated to the area from Lake Wylie, S.C. A licensed insurance agent for the past 11 years, she earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2006 and is presently working toward her Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
Christy Jones, who has worked six years as an account manager and producer, currently has the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and specializes in personal lines insurance. She relocated from Charlotte and serves as an ambassador with the Southport/Oak Island Chamber of Commerce.
“We are blessed to be growing in this tough economy, and we are dedicated to helping as many people as we can,” Peele said. “We strive to be the most responsive, dependable and professional insurance agency in the area.”
The Oak Island office is open four days a week from 8:45 a.m.-5:15 pm. It is closed on Wednesdays.
