Commissioners support drug treatment grant as long as county doesn’t cover cost

BOLIVIA—County commissioners showed Monday they are willing to support Brunswick County treatment court, as long as it can support itself.

Superior Court Judge Ola M. Lewis came to the commissioners’ meeting to ask for their support for a grant.

Lewis and Dr. Carrie Menke intend to submit a grant application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding of the Adult Drug Court.

Lewis runs treatment courts for drug, mental health and alcohol treatment programs.
