Deadline to enter pageant is Jan. 1
Applications are now available for the 2013 Brunswick County Purple Ribbon Pageant that will take place Feb. 3. It is a registered Relay for Life team and is involved in other charities throughout Brunswick County.
The pageant is a natural system, meaning no makeup, fake teeth or fake hair on little girls. Age divisions for girls include Baby Miss and Queen. Deadline to enter is Jan. 1, 2013.

Auditions for ‘Dixie Swim Club’ are Jan. 6
Brunswick Little Theatre will conduct auditions for “The Dixie Swim Club” from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 6 at Building F on the campus of Brunswick Community College. Roles for five women with an age range of 40-50 are needed.
Rehearsals are scheduled from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays beginning Jan. 8 and from
2-5 p.m. Sundays.
The play’s action centers around summer reunions at the beach for five women who were members and close friends on their college swim team. The characters in the play will play the ages of 44, 49, 54 and 60. Auditions will consist of readings from the play.
