Al Ripley, director of the Consumer & Housing Project at the North Carolina Justice Center, will speak at Monday’s meeting of Homeowners for Education Advocacy & Rights (HEAR4NC).
The monthly meeting will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at Brunswick Electric Membership Corp., 795 Ocean Hwy. West in Supply.
Ripley joined the Justice Center staff in March 2003 as a consumer/housing policy specialist and director of the Consumer Action Network.
Ripley helps spearhead the Justice Center’s consumer and housing policy advocacy in the state legislature and before state administrative agencies. He also serves as counsel in various dockets before the N.C. Utilities Commission and conducts education and training events.
Ripley will also speak from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 18 at the New Hanover County Chapter for HEAR4NC meeting at the Northeast Regional Library, 1241 Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington.
HEAR4NC is a nonprofit group pushing for homeowners and property owners association reform in the state legislature.
