County’s fire insurance districts due for updates

At a Nov. 19 meeting, Brunswick County commissioners approved a plan to revise fire insurance districts.

Coverage of service areas for fire or emergency calls will not be affected by the changes, said fire marshal Scott Garner. However, the insurance districts will be reshaped in an effort to improve residents’ insurance rates.
