For July, Brunswick County’s unemployment rate reached 11 percent. That’s a slight increase from June, which was at 10.9 percent.
Unemployment has slightly increased throughout the summer, which is generally one of the county’s busiest times of the year because of tourism.
Back in May the county’s unemployment rate was at 10.3 percent, and in April it was 9.7 percent.
The 11 percent rate for this July is the same as it was for July 2011.
