Do you remember that game you played in kindergarten? The one in which the teacher lined everyone up, whispering a phrase in the first person’s ear, and that person passed it to the next until the phrase reached the end of the line. The teacher then asked the last person in line what was the phrase. Sometimes it would be close to the original and other times it wouldn’t be even close. The moral is to show that as words are passed from one person to another, they change slightly.
