Disagrees with Shutts' letter

To the editor: Regarding the letter by Jay and Peggy Shutt in the April 3 issue, they sure are testing our intelligence.

They write that we Anglo-Saxons have a Jewish heritage. The Jewish religion and the Christian religions worship two different gods.

If anyone has any doubt, let them read the Christian Bible and the Jewish Talmud.

There is a so-called preacher named John Hagge misleading a lot of people. I wonder if Jay and Peggy have been reading some of his books?

When the Israelites were in bondage in Egypt, Moses led them to the land of Canaan.

The word Jew came from just one of the tribes of Israel; that tribe name was Judah. Jew was short for Judahite. None of the other tribes were ever called Jews.

Today, very few church members know the 12 disciples of Jesus went to Europe and established Christian churches. Every one of us needs to study (not read) our Bibles.

We are living in a very dangerous time.
