Pope wins Power of One award
The Power of One award, sponsored by Progress Energy, is presented to a business, community of faith, agency, organization or individual that has displayed dedication and commitment to the children and families of Brunswick County.
This year, Annette Pope, director of regulatory programs for Progress Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Plant, presented the award to St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church’s After School Tutoring Group as a Community in Schools Adopt A School Partner for Union Elementary School.
