'Fabulous Fable Factory' debuts this weekend at Playhouse 211

Aesop’s Fables come to life in debut performances this weekend when the Stagestruck Players re-enact them and set them to music at Playhouse 211.

The Stagestruck Players, the youth division of Brunswick Little Theatre, is presenting debut performances of the musical, ‘Fabulous Fable Factory,’ at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and a 3 p.m. matinee Sunday (Nov. 11-13). Performances continue at the same times next weekend (Nov. 18-20).

Stagestruck Players, the youth division of Brunswick Little Theatre, will present debut performances of “Fabulous Fable Factory,” a musical rendition of the stories historically renowned in literature for the morals they convey.

Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12, and the following weekend, Nov. 18-19, with 3 p.m. matinees this Sunday, Nov. 13, and the following Sunday, Nov. 20.

The production is being presented at the relatively new performance venue at 4320 Southport-Supply Rd SE (N.C. 211) in the St. James area across from Brunswick Electrical Membership Corp.

During the story of how Aesop’s fables came to be, the youthful troupe participates in creating and enacting some of the best of those fables.

The show is sponsored in part by a community grant from ATMC.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students ages 12 and older with ID and $6 for ages 11 and younger.
