A bicyclist was killed Thursday, Oct. 11, on N.C. 179 in Shallotte.
Timothy Leonard, 57, of Shallotte died when his bicycle collided with a Ford van driven by Lucinda Stanley, 52.
According to N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. C.K. Parks, Stanley wasn’t at fault.
“There are no charges. The driver of the van was doing everything within the perimeters of the law,” Parks said. “Speed is not suspected as a factor on Stanley’s part.”
