SUNSET BEACH — As work wraps up on the town’s new roundabout, the town will have a ribbon cutting to officially launch the stoplight-free intersection.
The ceremony tentatively is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the newly constructed roundabout at the mainland entrance to the high-rise bridge, town administrator Susan Parker said.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation had to be finished with construction of the roundabout by the Fourth of July, which it succeeded in doing last week, Parker said.
